Sugarland Take 2: Yes I'll take 2 bags of cotton candy please!

WE LOVE SUGARLAND! Sooooo....Deid and I went to see them AGAIN in Kansas City. This time, we took the boys. We think we've got them converted now.....well maybe closet converts! Following tradition, we bought ourselves each a bag of cotton candy and found out that it wasn't actually too bad for us...thanks Todd! Here are our cotton candy pics....mmmmmmmm.

Relaxing with my honey between concerts. Danny Goaki (spelling?) the American Idol guy opened and then Luke Bryan performed before Sugarland. Both guys were really entertaining!
The week before the concert, I spent in Osage Beach with Q-Bear. We had lots of time that week to hangout and it was fun to get to know him better. He is such a sweet little baby, but not so little anymore! We played a lot and took lots of naps together...once again a little nephew/niece has Aunt DD wrapped around his/her little finger!
Hahahaha.....I love this picture and thought you should all see it! This poor kid has the goofiest family and is bound to be dressed in numerous outfits/dresses/hats/etc. He is definitely thinking, "You are kidding me, right? I look like a naked golfer...seriously...." Love you Q!

Well done.

There are so many thoughts I have as this school year comes to an end and I have been praying about the right words for all the feels, the frustrations, the relief, the continued anxiety, the pure exhaustion. So in honor of teacher appreciation week—here’s a short letter to all my fellow teachers that have persevered through an unprecedented time in education. ———————————— Dearest Teacher, Spray and wipe, wipe and spray. Defying gravity.

“Where I come from, everyone knows the best way to bring folks together is to give them a common enemy.”—Oz, Wicked the musical   Public education is slowly becoming the common enemy and it is suffocating.  If this seems far fetched from your understanding and perspective, make time to share a space with your friends in education. How are they feeling right now?  Since social media allows us to feel like we can have a personal connection with someone, here is what I would share over a cup coffee if we could be face to face.
