WOAH---time for an update!

We pray you all had a very Merry Christmas and have gotten off to a great start in 2011. In all the craziness of school starting, finding out that we are expecting TWINS, and the holidays, it seems that I have neglected adding pictures and updates on our blog.

As you can see, one of our biggest Christmas presents was finding out that two little bundles of joy will be added to our family in May. And just to keep things gender balanced around here....God is blessing us with one sweet lil' boy and one sweet lil' girl!

Here is a picture of the bump about a month ago. Although my sisters were starting to question if there is really two in there, there is no denying it now! The bump is growing bigger everyday and Daddy Dan sure loves feeling them move. All the planning, organizing, nesting that comes with preparing for a new little one has definitely begun. Dan has already experienced the pure JOY of putting together not one but TWO cribs.....and it's only just begun. I hope to be better about posting updates now......so stay tuned for more! :)

Well done.

There are so many thoughts I have as this school year comes to an end and I have been praying about the right words for all the feels, the frustrations, the relief, the continued anxiety, the pure exhaustion. So in honor of teacher appreciation week—here’s a short letter to all my fellow teachers that have persevered through an unprecedented time in education. ———————————— Dearest Teacher, Spray and wipe, wipe and spray. Defying gravity.

“Where I come from, everyone knows the best way to bring folks together is to give them a common enemy.”—Oz, Wicked the musical   Public education is slowly becoming the common enemy and it is suffocating.  If this seems far fetched from your understanding and perspective, make time to share a space with your friends in education. How are they feeling right now?  Since social media allows us to feel like we can have a personal connection with someone, here is what I would share over a cup coffee if we could be face to face.
